Can I complete this programme while continuing to work?
This is full-time programme that can be completed while working. This programme is delivered using a blended learning approach. In each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 (the taught element of the programme) participants will attend a residential block (comprising five days) and five in-house blocks (each comprising a consecutive Friday and Saturday). Residential blocks will take place at the University of Limerick. The locations of the in-house blocks will rotate among the institutions participating in a semester. For example, there are five modules in Semester 1, say the institutions involved are DCU, Maynooth University, TCD, UCC and UL then an in-house block will take place at each of these institutions.
Am I eligible for a scholarship?
All applications from employees of the Health Service Executive (HSE) that meet the entrance requirements will automatically be considered for the scholarships funded by HSE organisations. A scholarship covers the fees for the programme.
Can I pay fees by instalments?
The University of Limerick’s Fees Office bill per semester. In the case of this programme there are three semesters so a student is billed for one-third of the fees in each semester. A student can pay the fees for a semester upfront or can opt to pay on a monthly basis.
When is Orientation?
Orientation is scheduled for December 13, 2019 at 15h00.
Can you give me the dates of the residential days and the in-house blocks for Semester 1?
Semester 1 residential days are 16 and 17 of January (Thursday and Friday) and 20 to 22 of January (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). These will take place at the University of Limerick.
Each in-house block is a consecutive Friday and Saturday. The dates of the in-house blocks for Semester 1 are as follows:
- Block 1: 07 and 08 of February
- Block 2: 21 and 22 of February
- Block 3: 13 and 14 of March
- Block 4: 27 and 28 of March
- Block 5: 17 and 18 of April
The exact location of each in-house block will be announced in mid-October.
