This programme will run over 18 months.  Taught modules are delivered over two semesters.  In addition, participants undertake a substantial digital health transformation project, the duration of which extends just over a year as follows:

Programme Delivery

This programme is delivered using a blended learning approach.  For the taught element, in each semester participants will attend a residential block and five in-house blocks.  The duration of a residential block is five days.  An in-house block comprises a consecutive Friday and Saturday.  Residential blocks will take place at the University of Limerick while the locations of in-house blocks will rotate among the participating institutions.

  1. Understand the dimensions of a patient-centric health ecosystem in order to identify innovation potential.
  2. Assess the potential of exponential technologies and digital services to facilitate collaboration and the sharing of information and knowledge to realise the benefits of an integrated care environment.
  3. Determine how the healthcare industry can best leverage digital technologies to improve clinical development and clinical outcomes having considered information governance challenges.

  5. Anticipate and plan for the acceptance and diffusion of transformational innovations among patient groups and healthcare employees.
